Inspired by the tradition of 19th century traveling photographers, I wished to depict a personal and ideological vision of the landscape.
I find traveling and finding new settings an enriching experience, and imagine myself as a 19th century traveler, an artist and photographer taking notes, samples and collecting extensive organic material, then reintegrating them into my installations, on backgrounds that I have painted myself.
I take the fundamental elements of those settings and gradually create my own representation of what Nature is for me.
