Brunet studied at “La Esmeralda” National Art School. She has taken part in individual and collective exhibitions both in Mexico and abroad. Her work features in renowned collections such as the Peter Stuyvesant Foundation, British American Tobacco, San Diego Museum of Art, JUMEX Collection, FEMSA Collection, The Weisman Foundation and the Jaureguia Museum.
Her recent individual exhibitions were Happymania, Galeria Ramis Barquet, New York, 2006; Splorsh!, Grimberg, Dumani & Seidner, San José, Costa Rica, 2005; Fight Like a Girl, Galería Ramis Barquet, New York; New Paintings, Galería Ramis Barquet, Monterrey and ARCO Project Room Ramis Barquet/Galería OMR, 2004.
She received Honorary Mention at the Tenth Rufino Tamayo Biennial, 2000, a Honorary Mention at the First Visual Art Biennial of Yucatán, 2002, and the Acquisition Prize at the Sixth FEMSA Monterrey Biennial, 2003.
