Correspondence

is a rope attached from one balcony to another. A rope that carries and bring things back thanks to two pulleys allowing the movement of the rope. In each one of the conected rooms: a table with paper, a pen and the possibility of sitting, look out of the window and write to someone else what you’re seeing. Sending it and enter into an epistolary relationship that involves the work of the body in its emission and reception process. Pull the rope, send your message, wait for someone to receive it, then wait for a response. Someone in front who will write and send a message.

I have a lot of interest in the situations when two people start a relationship from a device involving physical characteristics that makes the understanding with the other very a specific moment of sharing. In this case, time and space is determined by the connection of the involved bodies, the rope and its round trip.
