Historias propias is a participatory cultural interventions project focused on the stories of non-normative individuals—with disabilities, who identify as LGBTQAI+ and/or are diverse in terms of ethnicity, culture, age and corporality—living in Mexico today. The intervention aims to inscribe our stories in the narratives of the city along with those of the rest of the population, symbolically transforming the streets into geopolitical spaces that honor us and belong to us.

The intervention in Guadalajara consisted of collecting and exhibiting the stories of people from LGBTQIA+ communities on large-scale billboards mounted on the façade of the Laboratorio de arte variedades (LARVA).

Historias propias is produced with a grant from the Sistema Nacional de Creadores de Arte del Fondo Nacional para la Cultura y las Artes.
